Berlin Schöneberg

The room
Very large room with two beds and one extra bed. No large comfort however everything that one needs and in the middle in the "Kiez" (middle) of Schoeneberg. The apartment is on the second floor without elevator. The windows go to the road and the room is not really ideal for noise-sensitive guests. The large advantage is the size of the room, the very good mattresses and the proximity to taverns, cafe, purchase possibilities.

This accommodation is rather for younger people with small requirements to the comfort. It is an old building. Your room has sunset and wooden floor-boards. You share bathroom and shower facilities.

Your hostess is working in broadcasting, likes unorthodox (!) people and gives gladly some tips for nice corners in the city, if there is enough time left. This flat is a non-smokers-flat, please do not smoke in the guestroom (it is allowed to smoke ONE cigarette on the open window, but it should be an exception).

Schoeneberg - the district
Schöneberg is not only a district situated geographically between the scene district Kreuzberg and the civil-skillful Wilmersdorf. With its stylish taverns, Cafés and restaurants the district becomes just as alive as the surrounding quarters. In order to experience Schoeneberg, one could visit the Winterfeldmarket, at its best on the weekend, perhaps the most well-known weekly market of Berlin. Here there are high-quality fruit and vegetable stalls as well as flowers, cheese, furniture and clothes. Subsequently, one can experience the numerous Cafés.

In the city hall of Schoeneberg in 1963, John F. Kennedy famously spoke the words to the citizens of Berlin-West:„Ich bin ein Berliner“. From this city hall of Schoeneberg, the city-state of was governed up to 1989. Still today one can hear the liberty bell rings each day at noon. The cemetery in the Stubenrauchstrasse reminds us of perhaps the most famous citizen of Berlin: the great Marlene Dietrich, born in Schoeneberg in 1901.

Its conveniently placed to public transport facilities. Only 15 Minutes to Ku´damm-Area or Potsdamer Platz - the biggest constructionsite in Europe and the new downtown in Berlin with two IMAX, cinemas, shoppingmall. Public transport in Berlin is very good - so everywhere is accessible fast.

Don´t forget that Berlin is the largest city in Germany with a population of 4 Million people. In Munic, the second largest city in Germany, there are living only 1,4 Million people. From the North to the South, or from you the East to the West, it will take approx. 2 hours.
