Features in Brief

The initial screen consists of a status window, commands, and an index of bibliography entries available to the current user listed by author, title, and date. The status window shows the state of the backend database, the current database in use, and the account used to log on to the system.

Commands available are:

  • Search, which allows you to do a case-insensitive search of all text fields in a bibliography entry. Search does not scan file contents. This is a simple, littoral search; quoting and boolean operators are not supported.
  • Index shows the default index page, listing all available bibliography entries.
  • Print View presents all bibliography entry citations and annotations only in a window that allows easy copy-and-paste to another document.
  • Create New Entry opens an input template where the details of a new entry may be entered. Only one file may be attached to any given entry.
  • Contact provides the webmaster's email address. Use this to report bugs or make suggestions.
  • Administrator is present only when an administrative user logs on. This link opens an interface for accounts management tools.
  • Each indexed entry has a link for Edit and Delete. Edit opens the new entry template with all values pre-loaded from the current record. Changes will only be saved when the Save Entry button is clicked. The Delete link will immediately delete an entry. Take care: there is no 'are you sure' warning.
